Around Bullocks Point and Crescent Park it's older waterfront cottages and postwar ranches — short driveways, narrow curb cuts, cars parked both sides. Rumford tightens up near the old mill and the Pawtucket line, so we bring the flatbed in off a wider cross street.
Since the Washington Bridge went sideways, Exit 2A onto Broadway, North Broadway and Massasoit Avenue have been steady work: stop-and-go fender benders, overheated engines, batteries dead from idling in the Henderson Bridge detour. Taunton and Newport Avenue bring the trespass tows. Wampanoag Trail toward Barrington is narrow, fast and shaded, so it glazes over first.
